So, (We're all beginning thoughts these days with "so..." because it makes us sound smart. Besides, my favorite physicist does too, so...) this is something I realized long ago and I'm sure physicists have incorporated it into whichever paradigm they espouse...
Everything is moving, in every direction, all at once, all the time. Up, down, left, right, parallel, diagonal, perpendicular, directions I don't even know what to call. Nothing in any universe, or multiverse, is ever truly standing still.
So, right now I'm sitting in my chair but, I'm headed east at approximately 24,000 miles an hour "As the World Turns". I am also headed some other direction (I guess it might vary but directions are relative to something and I don't know what that would be in this case. We're probably talking angles and vectors and all kinds of sciencey stuff.) around the sun at about 67,000 miles per hour. We haven't even gotten to the solar system and the Milky Way (Oh, that sounds good right about now... chocolate!). The sun is going about 536,865 mph. around the galaxy, so... I'm getting confused (and a headache).
These knowns are creating multiple other unkown (because I'm no scientist and crap at math) speeds and directions and whatever else affects our movements but, you get the idea.
Can you imagine the look on a dog's face if they realized, besides hanging their head out the car window at 65 mph., they were also flying through space at millions of miles an hour at the same time? Wow! What a rush!
Okay, I may be wrong. Maybe there is a point at which all the different directions and various speeds converge so as to momentarily cancel each other out and you really aren't going anywhere for that split nano-second... whoa... I think I just felt it. WOW... what a rush!
(I know... I saw the traffic stop beginning of Loudermilk; But, I promise you, I've had this theory for decades and I'm sure it has floated all around the collective unconscious for centuries.)
